What? Unlimited - Social Enterprise
What? Unlimited is a new Social Enterprise Company
which will allow us to work outside the restrictions we have as
a charity, (which currently only allow us to work with 13 to 25s
in the Dudley Borough). For example, we will be able to contract
for work with adults and also with children, with companies, GPs,
and work with other Boroughs, Any profits made through the Social
Enterprise will be ploughed back into the Charity so that we can
continue to work with 19s to 25s who are not currently funded through
our existing contracts.
The decision to form the company was in response to individuals
over the age of 25, parents of young people and companies, who were
asking us to provide services outside of our charitable status.
We were also aware of a wide range of tendering opportunities appearing
on the market that we knew we had the skills to deliver. Adventure
capital funded some work with us to put together a business plan
for the charity and we now have a five year Business Plan.
We have carried out a feasibility study and have a number of hot
leads for our Business.
If you would like any further information about the above or you
are interested in speaking to us about contracting with us, either
on a personal basis or as a company, please speak to Julie Duffy—Chief
Officer.
Currently The What? Centre has contracts with The Children’s
Trust (DMBC), The PCT & Stourbridge College, and we can provide
referees of our work for large contracts.

us.
