WHAT CENTRE DUE TO CLOSE IN OCTOBER

After 25 years of The What? Centre being in the Borough and helping thousands of young people and their parents and wider family, we will close in October unless we can pursuade the Local Authority to make a 'U turn' on their decision to cut all of their funding for our service.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP US:

1. Sign our petition at the centre
2. Help to fill our graffiti wall with positive comments about the centre.
3. Join our facebook page or sign our online petition.
4. Take some petition forms and get them filled in by colleagues.
5. Email us with your stories about the What? Centre and how it has helped you at thewhatcentre@aol.com
6. Help us with writing funding bids.
7. Contact your local MP or local councilors or leader of the Council Anne Millward.
8. Write letters to the newspapers i.e. Stourbridge News and Express and Star expressing your concerns.

Thank you for all your help, without you it will be impossible to have any hope of turing around this decision.

Telephone No. of What? 01384 379992

Address: 23 Coventry Street, Stourbride DY8 1EP

"It is evident that The What? Centre is a vibrant, innovative and valuable community resource with an enthusiastic, highly professional team of paid and voluntary staff. There is much to be proud of."

The What? Centre has recently become a BACP Accredited Organisation!

The British Association for Counsellors  & Psychotherapists (BACP) sets, promotes and maintains standards for the Counselling and Psychotherapy profession.

To become an accredited organisation is a great achievement.

The BACP Service Accreditation Scheme provides status and validation for the accredited service. Service Accreditation provides robust evidence of service quality and professionalism. Essentially, it demonstrates that the service is committing to competence.

All BACP Accredited Services have demonstrated a high quality of service delivery, meeting benchmark standards that are maintained by annual assessment. In addition, Accredited Services are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
